Surge and Articulation are offering a place on the renowned two week street arts training at SPASA, in Tàrrega, Catalonia (30.08.25 – 14.09.25). Applicants must be based in Scotland and have an interest in creating outdoor arts performances.
SPASA is an international two-week street arts training. Taking advantage of two important stage events that take place in the region of Lleida in a short period of time, four companies will perform intensives of the subject for an audience interested in creating in public space.

What the training offers:
- 4 sections taught by four companies specialising in different disciplines of street arts.
- Immersions at the FiraTàrrega (www.firatarrega.cat) and Aquelarre events to learn about the organisation and preparation of the performers.
- Organised talks and workshops
- Attendance at rehearsals and pre-performances of acts participating in Aquelarre de Cervera and FiraTàrrega
This placement is open to professional performers working in or interested in street arts and performance arts students. The course will be taught in English. Included is shared accommodation in Cervera, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, transport between Cervera and Tàrrega and full attendance at all SPASA activities
Up to £200 towards travel to the course will be provided by Articulation. Please do not apply through the SPASA website as this will incur full cost to you for the course and travel.
