Introducing the new Articulation showreel

We’re delighted to share the new Articulation showreel, showcasing the brilliant outdoor arts, circus and spectacle being made across Scotland right now.

The showreel is now on our homepage and will also be shared internationally through partner networks in Ireland and Italy, as well as at industry events including Fira Tàrrega. It’s an important part of how we introduce Scotland’s outdoor arts sector to audiences and presenters beyond Scotland.

Made with the sector

Earlier this year, we asked artists, companies and producers in our network to send us footage of their work. We’ve brought that material together in a new film, edited by filmmaker Will Adams.

The showreel also includes phrases from our Beyond the Stage report, reflecting some of the ways outdoor arts bring people together and make use of public spaces across Scotland.

An original soundtrack

We wanted the soundtrack to have the same sense of energy and playfulness as the work on screen, so we commissioned an original track for the film.

Musician Nathan Somevi created the track with producer and Articulation member Jideofor Muotune (The Afroweegian). The result is an upbeat, rhythmic soundtrack that gives the showreel its own character and helps bring all the different performances together.

Watch the showreel

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their footage, to Will Adams for bringing it all together, and to Nathan Somevi and Jideofor Muotune for creating the soundtrack.

The showreel features work by All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre, Bex Anson, Hannah Ayre & Amanda Yates, Ruxy Cantir & Sarah Rose Graber, Suzi Cunningham, Dana Macpherson, Ronan McMahon, Moonslide, Zinnia Oberski, Oceanallover, Oi Musica, and Vince Virr Dance Company.

We hope you love the new showreel as much as we do.
