Articulation has been blessed with support from many skilled people – including actor, director and magician Tim Licata. Tim’s involvement with Articulation spans nearly 14 years and he recently stood down from our board of Directors. A huge thanks from the Articulation team to Tim for all his support (and undeniable magic!) that we have benefitted from over the years.
As a small team, our board of directors are an essential part of the organisation, sharing their expertise and enabling us to work strategically. They ask lots of questions – some challenging – to help ensure we fulfil our goals and provide balanced, objective advice. They hold us accountable and their diverse perspectives help ensure Articulation’s success.
We have recently completed a board recruitment process and we’re delighted to welcome five new Directors to the Articulation Board who bring a wealth of cross-sector, multi-disciplinary experience. Our new Directors’ extensive knowledge includes an in-depth understanding of outdoor arts, circus and spectacle as well as governance, finance, EDI and strategy. This, combined with considerable commitment, passion and energy all mean we are really excited to be working with them towards the next stage of development for Articulation at this critical time for our sector.
A very warm welcome to our new Directors – we’re excited to have you all on board!
You can learn more about our new Directors on our About page, or read what they’re most excited about bringing to their new roles below.

Navid Foroutan

Joining Articulation’s board is a chance to support the unique outdoor arts, circus, and physical performances that Articulation champions. The work of Articulation lies at a perfect crossroad of physical performance, art, place-making, health, and community connection, which deeply inspires me. I’m excited to help more people discover and appreciate these vibrant art forms, recognising their ability to bring joy, creativity, and well-being to our communities.
Jusztina Hermann

Nicola Lawton

Nicola is excited to lend her skills to Articulation as part of their Board of Directors to help the organisation establish its place in the sector as an advocacy agent for outdoor arts, circus and spectacle. She brings her wealth of knowledge in the sector to identify the issues artists and organisations face and work collaboratively to find solutions.
