Enchanted By The Unicorn, Perth Art Gallery

Commission by Culture Perth & Kinross, to create a temporary piece of collaborative light art, with residents and visitors to the city. Collaborating with artist Amanda Yates, we chose the emblem of Scotland’s national animal, to celebrate the opening of the new Perth Museum. We created a giant, UV-reactive unicorn, complete with geometric “jigsaw pieces” to be decorated. Participants of all ages created unique designs by drawing and collaging with fluorescent papers and tapes.
A temporary commission, which could be make permanent with a coat of varnish. Outline created from biodegradable cotton tape. Visitor designs created from recyclable papers, stuck using refillable glue sticks.
